STAR ANIMALS LOOKING FOR A HOME
Immediate placement in a foster or forever home is needed! Please help!
My name is Teddy Bear! They tell me I'm a 2yr old, brindle male Staffordshire mix. I'm pretty short for my mix but I think you would find that cute! I could definitely be a lap dog if you let me! My favorite things to do are to go for walks with the great volunteers who come everyday to walk me.
You see I don't have a foster home yet so I'm in a kennel but I do get to play during the day and then walk and run with the volunteers. That's my favorite part! When I was in a foster home, I did like snuggling with my foster mom and napping in the sun. So, I'm hoping you will fall in love with my smile and come to meet me!
This is Baxter. Baxter is a Great Dane/American bulldog mix who seems to be around 2 - 3 years old. Just look at those beautiful eyes and that silly ear going in it's own direction and you've only just begun to see what is special about Baxter. Baxter was literally close to starving when his foster family found him in a wooded area. To give you an idea of how emaciated he was.... he now weighs 75lbs. and is 28" tall. Picture him 30 pounds skinnier (no shorter, just as tall) and that was him. Once Baxter realized he was saved, he did a little happy wagtail dance and went trotting off to begin his better life. And he hasn't stopped being happy and appreciative since. He's got energy but it's all positive! Because Baxter was left behind by his former owners, he doesn't like to be left outdoors for longer than it takes for him to do his business, which he does immediately. Baxter isn't afraid of storms and shows no food or toy aggression. He gets along well with other pets and is somewhat curious by nature. Baxter is crate-trained and housebroken, loves to go on walks and chew his Nylabone and Kong toys (on a recent outing he also showed his love for lemonade lemon rinds, who knew?? so he's also fresh and sweet smelling) . He responds well to praise and training, and blossoms when treated like the special guy he truly is. Baxter has a deep, authoritative voice but is not an excessive barker. Baxter is playful and just looking for someone to play with; a family to call his very own!
